Social Networking Sites

First of all I notice what all 4 of these social media sites have in common which is the fact that they all 4 let you express yourself and how you feel and who you are. All these 4 social media though give me different vibes as to what I'm supposed to do in each one of them. In Facebook I usually connect more with my family all around, say happy birthday be more of a family type of social media for me personally although I know it also has helped many of my friends find jobs or even find roommates as well as a lot of ads towards many different types of businesses. When it comes to Twitter I usually find news in twitter things that everyone is talking about "what's hot" at the moment so that's how a lot of people would find their news or important information although it is also like a personal diary that is open to the public. Instagram lets you share pictures with your friends or/and strangers it makes you think that it is more of catching a moment and you want to share that moment with the people of Instagram. Not only that but we also see like celebrities also have their Ads posted under a picture for the public to see like what they are talking about. Snapchat is more of a video or picture at the moment as well. What I have noticed though recently is that Snapchat has put more ads in their like subscription type of search where now you can't skip so you are forced to watch the ad. These 4 social networking sites are all used by businesses or even by people with inspirations for businesses to promote their brand.

  1. I think you hit it right on the button. I like the way you describe daily posts as an open diary. It gives the sense of personal touch that is real and not manufactured. I enjoyed your post , it made me rethink my feelings about posting on social media in a good way.
